“For the Dutch SME sector I negotiate and advise on acquisitions and divestments of businesses. Acquisition finance and company valuations are an integral part of my consultancy.

Most of my divestment assignments originate from shareholder issues (lack of succession or internal disagreement) and strategic re-positioning.
For the smaller and medium sized listed companies in the UK I negotiate and advise on acquisitions on the Continent in close cooperation with my UK colleague Keith Van Vessem.

My assignments are from companies and business owners in a variety of sectors including IT, internet, manufacturing, contract placement and private equity. More than 50% of my assignments have a cross-border (Western-European) angle.

Upon graduating as business economist and chartered accountant I worked for 10 years as financial controller for Cap Gemini Sogeti (IT, Paris), Mexx (apparel) and the Dutch TNT Post.”

“In the UK our customers are the smaller and medium sized listed companies. I provide them with guidance and advice regarding acquisitions on the Continent from initial target search till closing of the transaction.

On cross-border assignments I work as a team with my Dutch colleague Tjebbe van Dijk. A significant part of my work is for companies in contract placement, IT and manufacturing.

Prior to independent corporate finance consulting I worked as corporate banker in the London City for 15 years.”
